NFS Facility Support Buildings

Qatar Ras Laffan Industrial City NFS onshore facilities will consist of two LNG liquefaction trains, each with a capacity of 8 Mtpa, supported by a 1.5 Mtpa carbon capture and storage (CCS) facility designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 25%. The LNG trains will utilize AP-X liquefaction technology, enabling efficient and flexible production across varying operating conditions.

Major process equipment includes main and subcooling cryogenic heat exchangers, turbomachinery companders, nitrogen economizer cold boxes, and main refrigerant compressor systems powered by Frame 9E DLN Ultra Low NOx gas turbines. Additional infrastructure will comprise LNG loading facilities, rundown lines, boil-off gas recovery systems, and utility pipelines connecting new storage and export facilities within Ras Laffan Industrial City.

As part of the project's support building facilities package, Handar Engineering is executing the structural steel installation and cladding works for maintenance buildings, operational shelters, and other ancillary facilities.
